"Ngayon, ang magiging preparation ng DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) ayun na pong susunod na stage ng ating mga newly elected barangay captains and kagawad saka SK (Sangguniang Kabataan). Ito na po yung kanilang orientation doon sa responsibilities, kung ano yung mga duties and responsibilities ng ating mga kapitan, kagawad and of course ang ating SK... na ngayon ay tinutulungan kami ng National Youth Council," said Diño.
He also encouraged the elected officials to actively support the government's campaign against illegal drugs, criminality, corruption, as well as gambling.
Diño added that the elected officials should work hard and bring needed developments to their communities.
Diño, meanwhile, said that they are validating those reports involving government officials who allegedly violated election rules.
The DILG official said that they are collating evidence such as videos and affidavits and will submit them to the Commission on Elections .
