Toyota And Motul Ink Partnership

The Toyota Racing Series (TRS) has inked a partnership with Motul to become its official lubricant for the 2013 season.

The TRS, which is running on its 9th year in New Zealand, partners with the renowned brand which has bagged over 60 championship titles worldwide.  This is the second partnership between Toyota and Motul as the latter already provides technical support to the official Toyota Racing Development (TRD) team in the Supercar Thailand series.

The TRS has built a reputation as a major championship worldwide. For young drivers of single-seaters intent on battling it out to the top, this series has indeed become an important stage in their career development.

They take advantage of the northern hemisphere winter to contend in the five events of the series, far from their base and their habits, ready to test their skills on tracks unfamiliar to them and in an environment they barely know.

This championship forges their talent and prepares them effectively for the season ahead. For example, Mitch Evans, twice champion in GP3, has won two TRS championships.

“We have two strong brands that are allying themselves around the common goal of reaching excellence in their performances. I think this will automatically add to the championship’s success,” Tim Pollard, Motul in New Zealand, said.
