Direct complaint to Office of the President led to arrest of six drug pushers in Negros Occ.

By Aaron Recuenco A direct complaint to the Office of the President regarding the illegal drugs transactions in Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental has led to the arrest of six suspected drug pushers.

John Bulalacao, director of the Western Visayas regional police, said the operation in Barangay 6 in Kabankalan City stemmed from a forwarded complaint regarding the alleged rampant illegal drugs activities in the area. “Our personnel immediately carried out an operation and it resulted in the arrest of six suspected drug pushers who are known in the area,” said Bulalacao. He identified them as Jireh Biaquina, Denise Michael Berzuela, Michael Pame, Carina Lanang, Joebert dela Cruz and Rubilyn Abnero. The six, he said, were arrested in a buy-bust operation. Seized from them were some P360,000 worth of shabu. It was learned that President Duterte has opened a Presidential Compliant Center where citizens could seek assistance and report criminal activities, especially relating to drugs. Drug charges were slapped against the suspects while intense monitoring was ordered in Kabankalan City to identify and arrest more drug pushers.
