In his visit to Boracay island on Thursday, the President lauded the headway in the infrastructure projects and revealed plans to present to the public the result of the government’s hard work.
Duterte particularly praised Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar for his work during the Boracay event.
"May I be allowed to acknowledge the presence of Public Works Secretary and Highways Secretary Mark Villar. He’s doing a good job," Duterte said at the start of the agrarian reform event in Boracay.
"In the coming days, we will present to the nation the result of our toil and endeavor and that would refer to the long stretches of infrastructure completed by the department under Secretary Villar," he said.
"Makita ho ninyo ‘yung resulta ng Build, Build, Build ," he added.
The President made the remarks after tackling the infrastructure projects during a recent Cabinet meeting in Malacañang. The country’s first landport was among the projects recently completed by the government in partnership with the private sector.
Under Build, Build, Build program, the government has proposed 75 infrastructure projects, including airports, seaports, roads and bridges, to improve the country's transportation network and spur economic activities. The government aims to create 1.8 million jobs annually from the implementation of the administration's massive infrastructure program.
Duterte recently ordered authorities to expedite the completion of the infrastructure programs to enhance connectivity and mobility around the country.
