PNP's procurement remains under DILG's supervision

President Duterte had earlier ordered Año to supervise the procurement process of the PNP after being outraged by the supposed overpricing in the radar speed guns project. The PNP denied any irregularity, stressing there was an honest mistake in the description of the equipment during the presentation of the project. Newly-installed PNP Chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa has vowed to abide by the wishes of the President and explained that a complete clarification on the matter was already sent to Malacañang.
