ILOCOS SUR – This province is no longer coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-free after it recorded two new cases on Friday, October 30.
According to the provincial government, the new cases were from Narvacan town. They were the 75th and 76th recorded cases of COVID-19 in the province.
The first case was a 46-year-old from Barangay Dasay, who had travel history to Metro Manila, while the other new infection was a 24-year-old from Barangay Sulvec, who did not have travel history.
Both were asymptomatic, and are currently at a provincial isolation facility.
And because of the new infections, the local government of Narvacan imposed extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) in the community located along Sulvec Port Road. It also ordered the closure of roads from Bulanos bridge to the Narvacan Port.
