A former policeman wanted for the killing of a man in Pasay City in 2008 has been arrested by police in his home in Taytay, Rizal.
Former Police Officer 3 Luis Jomok III was nabbed by members of the Counter Intelligence Division (CID) of the Philippine National Police’s Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) shortly before noon on June 15 in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal.
He was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Wilhelmina Jorge-Wagan of the Regional Trial Court in Pasay City for homicide for the killing of a certain Billy Lozada on Aug. 7, 2008 in Pasay City.
According to the CID report, Jomok was formerly assigned to the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO).
Operatives of IMEG’s CID led by Major Christian Burgos apprehended the suspect while manning his store in Barangay Dolores, just a few meters away from the headquarters of the Rizal Police Provincial Office.
Based on CID’s records, a male witness told police that he and his group were at an eatery when they heard gunshots before he saw the victim being chased by Jomok, who was then armed with a gun, on the night of Aurg. 7 in 2008.
