Korean Superstar Psy Performs Tonight At SM MOA Arena

Finally, it is happening, the much-awaited live performance in Manila of Korean superstar Psy. His one-night concert will be held tonight (Feb. 16) at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Sharing the stage with Psy is our very own Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas, and the riotous comedy duo Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola who successfully staged their first major comedy concert in 2012, impersonating today’s controversial personalities.
The show titled “Psy Live in Manila! Tanging Family Valentine Show” is presented by That’s Ntertainment Productions, Ovation Productions and Music Management International.
Pinoy fans will certainly enjoy this post-Valentine treat with the worldwide phenomenon “Gangnam Style,” which has over a billion views for its amazing viral music video which has soared to the top of the charts and spawned myriad copycat videos by everyone across the worldwide web.
Known to billions now as stylishly hilarious, “Gangnam Style” was released as the single off Psy’s sixth album “6 Rules,” with five other equally great pop songs. Psy has received a certificate from the Guinness Book of Records for having the most liked video on YouTube.
Ai Ai, of course, is very excited to be performing on stage with the famous Psy. “I couldn’t wait to have my picture taken with him,” she giggled. When she was offered the project, Ai Ai said she Googled Psy to know more about him. That was what Psy also did, to know something about her.

‘Convergence,’ Premiere Philippine IT Show
Now on its 13th year, ”Convergence,” a premiere I.T. weekly TV show on Net 25, has come up with additional interesting segments with the incoming of two new co-hosts, Kyle Nofuente and Christopher Wong, with Nikki Veron-Cruz, still the main host.
“Convergence” airs on Saturdays, from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on Net 25.
Kyle is not new with IT He is a web editor, radio DJ and voice-over talent.
“I am so excited in joining ‘Convergence,’” he said at a press conference held Monday at the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Barangay Pag-Asa, Bagac, Bataan which features old heritage houses like those found in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Kyle has so much passion for IT which he wants to share with the program’s audiences.
Nikki Veron-Cruz said that the segments of the new and enhanced “Convergence” would provide viewers with more and easier to understand presentation of technology. “The three of us–the hosts–will take turns or together make the presentation.”
Chris said his expertise will be more on games, because he has a passion for those techno games. He will host the “Gametime” segment.
Among the segments are “APP Arena” for apps, “Drop Test” to try gadgets’ endurance and durability, “WEBWatch TECHSupport,” ”Budget Burs,” “Tech Talk,” and “Celebritech.”

‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ Starts Today, Goes Global
There will be more variety of talented acts in the fourth season of “Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)” which premieres tonight on ABS-CBN. With this goes the promise of the Kapamilya network to give audiences from all over the world a richer viewing experience.
“Pilipinas Got Talent,” which is said to be the country's most successful talent-reality show, went around the world in search of the best of the best Filipino talents. Business Unit Head Joyce Liquicia said: “We know that Filipinos still have a lot to show especially when it comes to the talent department. That is why the ‘PGT’ team decided to mount a global and online auditions to give hopefuls a chance. We made this season the biggest ever so if you really want to make it the biggest, we must also find the best talents in every possible way we can.”
Among the Pinoy talents who auditioned are from the US, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Europe, Canada, Australia and Guam.
The hosts will be the same – Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, as with the judges: Kris Aquino, Ai Ai delas Alas and Freddie “FMG” Garcia.
PGT will air every Saturday after “MMK” and every Sunday after “Rated K.”

“The Gruffalo,” which is being staged for the first time in Manila, is a magical, musical adaptation of the worldwide best-selling children’s book written by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It tells of a mouse’s adventures while walking through the woods where he scares off dangerous animals with a fictitious friend, the Grufallo. Imagine his surprise when he meets a real gruffalo!
