UAAP: High school events kick off second sem schedule

By Kristel Satumbaga The UAAP resumes its competition with the start of the high school boys football hostilities on Sunday to usher the second semester events. First-round matches in football fired off at the Rizal Memorial Football Field pitting National University-Nazareth against De La Salle-Zobel, and Ateneo versus University of Santo Tomas. Matches will be played on Wednesdays and Sundays for the month of January at the Rizal Memorial Football Field except on Jan. 12, where it is scheduled at the Far Eastern University-Diliman Field. The second-round eliminations in juniors basketball is also being eyed on Jan. 12, with the schedule being finalized. High school beach volleyball players also make its debut on Feb. 1 at the Sands By The Bay at the Mall of Asia grounds with eight male and seven female pairs disputing for the crown. Matches will be played Saturdays and Sundays.
