Earlier this year, Facebook lost about 500,000 users, which is nothing compared to the billions who continue to use the platform worldwide. But it is a sign that users, especially the younger generation, are starting to lose interest as they begin to lean toward rivals, like TikTok. If Meta, Facebook’s parent company, doesn't do something quick, they risk losing a lot more users in the future.

So one of their attempts to safeguard their future, Facebook is testing out a feature that allows one user to create up to four profiles. The idea behind this is to create different spaces. So one profile can be used for families, another for work, another for different groups, and so on. It is quite interesting and a small way to control how you want to share your information. 

Apparently, creating a new profile doesn’t mean you can include your real name. You can create a new display name. 

According to Leonard Lam, a Facebook spokesperson, said all profiles share the same policies. So, if you violate one of Facebook’s terms and conditions in one profile, that will affect your other profiles as well. 

So far, the feature is still being tested and hasn't been fully rolled out yet.
