Many are the reasons for a visit to the island of Sri Lanka. Attractively wonderful landscapes, beautiful pristine golden beaches, an abundance of marine and terrestrial wildlife combined with historic temples, gigantic monuments, and a unique culture and exquisite pageantry, these are some of the rare combination of unexpected pleasures which Sri Lanka offers to the traveler today.

Every visitor has a specific need, a personal desire. The pleasure of touring Sri Lanka is heightened because  one does not have to travel great distances to experience the island’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. An eight-hour journey  by road will take the visitor from the Golden Temple of Dambulla to the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

There is one element with which the island has always been identified with. And that gave its most intriguing name: Serendipity. The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy and beneficial way. It is a strangest phenomenon, a kind of gentle wave that may take you to an unexpected, delightful and surprising happy end.

One specific attitude is all that is asked of you to experiment Serendipity:  stand still, do not fight back, do not react, and let yourself go with the wave. Trustful and calm. Then, and only then, Serendipity will be able to guide you, gently carry you on, every time closer and closer, to the magic, hidden, secret heart of the island.
