Fort Santiago will be extending its operating hours starting on Monday, Jan. 13.

The historic site will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily including holidays. Its original operating hours used to be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. only.
The admission fees are P75 for adults and P50 for children and students.
Meanwhile, the Department of Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat said other parts of Intramuros are open to the public for free.
Fort Santiago, built in 1593, was one of the Spanish colonial force’s main defense lines in Intramuros. During the era of Spanish colonization and World War II, it held several prisoners including national hero Jose Rizal.
