Duterte tells public not to believe ex-cop Acierto

Earlier, Acierto claimed that Yang, former adviser of the President, was involved in the narcotics trade. The former cop claimed that he submitted a report to his superiors but they ignored the report. The President, however, defended Yang from the allegations hurled by Acierto, claiming he was a legitimate businessman. He cited that Yang’s businesses have helped generate local jobs. He noted Yang was often spotted with top Chinese government officials, adding they would have not allowed him to be there if he was involved in illegal drugs.
