Chongqing party chief Chen Min'er and other members of Communist Party of China (CPC) recently paid a courtesy call on the President in Malacañang and extended an invitation to visit Chongqing. It will be the President's sixth visit to China if he accepts the invitation.
"Exchanged pleasantries, relationship of PDP (party) with CPC and investment opportunities in Chongquing and Philippines," Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi said in a text message to reporters about the meeting with the Chinese party leaders last Monday.

Also present in the meeting were Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, Vice Minister of the International Department-CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) Guo Yezhou, Executive Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government and Secretary General of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee Wang Fu.
Apart from Cusi, Senator and PDP Laban president Aquilino Pimentel III, Senators Christopher Go and Francis Tolentino, Foreign Affairs Acting Secretary Jose Eduardo Malaya III, Cagayan Economic Zone Authority Secretary and PDP-Laban Vice President for International Affairs Raul Lambino also attended the meeting at the Palace.
