CPI, a Taiwanese brand that is one of the leaders in the European motorcycle industry, recently introduced CPI Motard 200. At first glance, you will notice its upside-down forks, beefy road biased tires, steel braided brake lines – and it is powered by a 200cc air cooled SOHC thumper. Handling is superb due to the Motard’s chassis with wide handlebars. Going up to speed is due to torque supplied by the monocyclinder. Stopping is not a problem, handled by the wave rotors and twin pot set up at the front and expanding drum at the rear. Fuel tank can hold 10 liters, more than enough for a whole day ride around the metro or nearby towns.

Where the CPI Motard really stands out is its versatility. It can handle Metro Manila’s roads even with the potholes. Illumination at night is good because of 35 watt halogen headlights.

The whole package comes at an affordable price of P88,000 for Motard 200 and P93,000 for Motard GRX 200 oil cooled.
