Habitat’s ‘I Build Campaign’ Cited

MANILA, Philippines --- The Public Relations Society of the Philippines honored close to 140 exceptional PR programs and tools implemented in the previous year during the 48th Anvil Awards last Wednesday night.

Among the campaigns cited is the “I Build Campaign” of the Habitat for Humanity Philippines which received the Anvil Award of Excellence under the public relations program on a sustained basis digital campaign category.

The “I Build” is a four-year capital campaign that seeks to serve as a unifying catalyst in creating a community building and development model by providing innovative and sustainable housing solutions to achieve milestones in uplifting the Filipino family.

The Anvil cited that “the Habitat has successfully served 17,132 families through its different programs, helping 6,000 families in Cagayan de Oro City and 1,000 families in Metro Manila through the first two years of the campaign.”

Vishnu Mohan, chief executive officer of Havas Media Asia Pacific, chaired this year’s 32-member Anvil Awards board of jurors.

The panel is composed of acknowledged experts in PR, media, academe, the government, civil society and business. This year’s panel also included information technology specialists, bloggers and social media experts in line with addition of new categories in the awards to recognize digital campaigns, multimedia and digital tools used in PR programs.

The Anvil awards competition is conducted annually and honors PR programs and tools that pass the high standards set by this year’s board of jurors.

During the awarding ceremonies, Vision Petron Collaterals received the Hall of Fame Award.
