Judy Ann never caused delays in her tapings — Alfie Lorenzo

Alfie Lorenzo, the manager of Judy Ann Santos, called us to clarify a Juicy Corner item about his ward causing several pack-ups in the tapings of her new teleserye for ABS-CBN.
"Mali lahat ang item kay Juday sa Juicy Corner, lahat pabor kay Mr. M," he began. "Never in Juday’s 30 years in showbiz na nagpa-pack-up siya ng taping. Kahit na nga may lagnat yan nagtatrabaho. What happened was magulo ang schedule nila sa taping. Pabago-bago. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday daw pero laging napo-postpone. So one time, nagtalak na si Juday. She said magbabakasyon muna ako at pagbalik ko sana maayos na ang lahat especially the script."
Said teleserye, which started taping in the US and which will feature the "Ysabella" tandem of Judy Ann Santos and Derek Ramsay, has the actress playing the role of a nurse but the script is now being revised for the nth time, Alfie lamented. Maybe because the story/plot is similar to that of Sharon Cuneta’s "Caregiver."
Materials for the teleserye that were shot in the US won’t be used anymore. In fact, they’re throwing away all the footages because the production’s Evaluation Board thinks Juday and her American co-star have no "chemistry."
"Mas guwapo pa daw si Leandro Muñoz. Eh bakit nila kinuha?" Alfie added: "Tapos nagtitipid daw sila. Eh bakit nila itatapon ang mga materials na kinunan sa America?"
Juday and her boyfriend (they’re reported to be all set to march down the aisle this year) Ryan Agoncillo left recently for shows in European cities like London and Milan. They spent a few days in Amsterdam, Alfie said. He’ll be joining them in London and Paris.
About the cast of the teleserye (it has no definite title yet), Alfie suggested that they don’t use Star Magic talents; after all Juday is not a Star Magic contract artist. "Ang kausap namin sa ABS-CBN si Gabby Lopez hindi si Mr. M."
Derek is not with Star Magic, and so is Rio Locsin who like Derek "ay naguguluhan na rin especially about their roles kasi nga pabago-bago ang script," Alfie said.
Ryan, on the other hand, was told not to accept the hosting job for "Pinoy Idol" because he will host "Pinoy Dream Academy." But this job was given to former Kapuso Billy Crawford.
But in fairness, Ryan will be given a sitcom (without Juday) and a teleserye where he and Juday will be featured, Alfie told us. Let’s just wait and see...

Every jewel has a story
From the pigeonhole:
More than a success story, Miladay is a beautiful tale of love.
In fact, it was love that enveloped the successful relaunch of the House of Miladay on Jupiter St. in Makati recently when well-meaning friends of Miladay cut the ribbon: Philippine envoy to Vatican Cristina Ponce-Enrile, Supreme Court Justice Consuelo Santiago, pianist par excellance Norma Francia and businessman Sebastian Chua.
The second generation Dayrit jewelers proved that love for family is the main ingredient to their success, believing that the family that works together, shines together. In fact, during the event, each one of them was excited to show his or her own collection.
"Michelle Marie" is a collection of hip and happy jewelry by Miladay president Michelle Dayrit Soliven. "Rendezvous Travel Collection" is the colorful travel collection inspired by the many travels of Christine Dayrit. "Mark of Miladay" is the contemporary male jewelry pieces by Mark Dayrit. "Keepsakes of Gold" is the line developed by Yvonne Dayrit Romualdez, a collection that celebrates love and family. And for heirloom pieces with a twist, there is the "Jaqui O" line by Jacqueline Dayrit Boncan.
The third generation Dayrit jewelers, sisters Nikki and Christel Boncan, also launched their own line called "Blessings," composed of rings engraved with passages from the Bible.
Also highlighted at the event was the "Marimar" line, a collection of bridal jewelry worn by Marian Rivera in her recently concluded top-rating telenovela "Marimar."
During the launch, the first ever "Every Jewel has a Story" writing contest was held where old and new clients of Miladay submitted their stories. Winning the grand prize of trip for two to Singapore with accommodations at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is Hans Montenegro with his wedding proposal story. The prize was accepted for Hans by lovely wife Marilen Espino-Montenegro.
Lucky shoppers also won international trips to Bangkok with accommodations in Dusit Thani-Bangkok and Vietnam courtesy of Cebu Pacific Air. Local trips were also given away like Eskaya Resort in Bohol, Pearl Farm in Davao, Antulang Resort in Dumaguete, and Maribago Resort in Cebu. Accommodation certificates to Balai Ysabel in Taal, Batangas, Buri Resort in Puerto Galera and Caliraya Recreation Resort in Laguna were also raffled off. Dinner-for-two certificates at El Circulo, Dusit Thani’s Umu restaurant, Sofitel’s Spiral, Hotel Intercontinental’s Prince Albert were also won by Miladay’s clients.
