Asian V8 set in Batangas
Everything is set for the 2nd leg of the Asian V8 Championship with Filipino ace Enzo Pastor going up against top caliber drivers from Asia and Europe on June 7-8 at the Rosario Racing Circuit in Batangas.
Taking full advantage of his so-called “race track advantage,” Pastor, 30, dominated the first leg which was held at Clark International Speedway.
But he will have his hands full in the coming leg since top drivers from the United States, Europe and Asia are expected to take part in the event.
Pastor gained international fame last year when he won the overall championship in Euro NASCAR, becoming the first Filipino to be honored by the governing body in Charlotte, North Carolina – home of US NASCAR.
Organized by Philippine Formula Autosport Foundation (PFAFI) and presented by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and TIEZA, the event will use the same V8 type of a car used in NASCAR competitions.
Tomas Pastor, president of PFAFI and father of Enzo, expects another keen competition in the second leg having attracted some of the finest drivers in the world.
