BFP Calabarzon collects P146.69M fees
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Calabarzon has collected a total of P146.69 million worth of fire code fees in 2013.
This amount is 12.26 percent higher than previous year’s P130.674 million collection.
BFP Regional Director Chief Supt. Nimfa Cuartel said that selected city and municipal fire stations in the region also received the “KABAN Award” in recognition of their exemplary efforts in increasing the fire code fees collection
Among the awardees for the year are the Batangas City Fire Station, which received the highest award – the gold Kaban award.
Calamba City Fire Station received the silver award while the Lipa City Fire Station received the bronze award.
Cuartel shared that Batangas City Fire Station collected P9,709,964.90 fire code fees for the year 2013.
Calamba City collected P8,128,765.22 while Lipa City collected P7,913,954.52.
In the municipal category, the General Trias, Cavite Fire Station received the Gold Kaban award; Cainta, Rizal Fire Station got the silver award; and San Pedro, Laguna Fire Station the bronze award.
Records show that Gen. Trias Fire Station collected P7,717,457.63 worth of fire code fees for the year 2013, followed by Cainta with P4,879,723.45, and San Pedro with P2,673,121.32.
Moreover, they inspected 116,741 establishments in 2013 compared to the 100,594 establishments inspected in the previous year. (Czarina Ong)
