To establish an inventory of agricultural and fishery resources in this province to be used mainly by plans and policymakers, National Statistics Office (NSO)-Biliran statistics officer Rose Marie Lumbre said the NSO will conduct the 2012 Census on Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) from February until April this year. The 2012 CAF, she said, is a large-scale nationwide government undertaking aimed to collect and compile basic information on the agricultural and fisheries sectors.

The Negros Occidental provincial government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) Bacolod Chapter for a project named “Bringing Mental Health Services to the Community,” with the latter providing at least one psychiatrist and one psychologist for consultation treatments and follow up mentally-ill indigent patients at core referral hospitals at least once a month, while the provincial government will provide for honorariums and psychotropic medications for patients.
