DepEd postpones Principals’ test
The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday announced the rescheduling of the Principals’ Test from December 8, 2013 to January 12, 2014.
In an official statement, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro said that the postponement and rescheduling of the exams will “give many applicants sufficient time to cope with the succession of natural calamities especially those in the Visayas who suffered from a powerful earthquake and super typhoon Yolanda.”
The National Educators Academy of the Philippines of the DepEd (NEAP-DepEd) announced the rescheduling of the Principals’ Test which is also called the National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH).
This March, the DepEd also released the results of 2012 NQESH which was administered last January 20. Out of 14,567 examinees, a total of 1,454 passed.
The cut-off score of NQESH was placed at percentile 90 based on the total standard scores obtained by the examinees in all performance domains covered by the NEAP exam.
Judith Baclig from Region II got 99.99 percent, followed by William Roderick Fallorin from Region III with 99.97 percent, and Ma. Criselda Ocang from Region I with 99.94 percent.
DepEd said that the NQESH is open to all aspirants of Principal I position and all applicants under the Reclassification of School Heads Position.
