The most immediate definition for her "V’ would be voluptuous as displayed by her physique in the magazine. Her vital statistics spoke loudly of her sexiness - 37D-26-37. And at 5’3", that translated Ella into "voluptuous vixen" of showbiz.
Nonetheless, her "V" also meant something else to me after getting a chance to meet her in person during the launching of the latest VIVA Hot Babe members a week ago. "V" could also mean vibrant as reflected by her candidness, energy, cheerfulness and rapport with the press. She was a natural in making people laugh and smile when it came to answering questions thrown to her by her friends in the entertainment press. More than an emerging sexy star, she seemed a natural–born comedienne, of which she is very proud.
A former VIVA employee (she worked under the Fox division of VIVA), Ella took off for Hawaii after she resigned. She stayed there for a couple of years before finally deciding that her life was in the Philippines.
After arriving in the country, she visited her bosses and friends at VIVA Films. To her surprise Boss Vic offered her to be one of the members of VIVA Hot Babes. She took the plunge even if she didn’t have any acting experience. And voila! Ella V immediately became one of the latest Hot Babe stars to look forward to, especially after that provocative pose in Hot Stuff magazine and her appearance in the "Bulaklak" music video of the Hot Babes.
In Ella V’s budding showbiz career includes her guest appearances in a number of movies like "Gamitan," "First Time" and "Alas Dose." While her TV appearances (of which she has become in demand) encompass such shows as "S.O.P.," "A.S.A.P," "Extra Challenge," "Morning Girls," "Teysi ng Tahanan," "MTB," "Sis," "Mixed Nuts," "Home Along the Airport" and "Whattamen."
During their press conference, Ella V showed how much exciting show business has become for her ever since she entered it.
"I look at my entry into showbiz as destiny," she smiled. "Which means I never thought of joining showbiz but it somehow fell on my lap when Boss Vic offered it to me. It was a once in a lifetime chance and I didn’t want to spoil it so I grabbed the opportunity."
Her commitment in doing her best for her career was also a big factor in her decision to disrobe for the magazine Hot Stuff. She believed that she is already of age and she could do whatever she wanted. Though her parents were shocked at first when she joined VIVA Hot Babes, she only needed to explain to them her point of view before she was able to gain their confidence and support.
"My exposure was something I had to do to make a name for myself. Most sexy actresses do that. And the magazine gave me the right timing to bare. I believe it was the right project," she explained.
According to her though, baring is as far as she would do in showbiz.
"I don’t only want to be known as a sexy star who bares. I want to be known in showbiz for my sensibilities..."
Ella V also stresses that her spirituality guides her in every decision she makes in her career. Though some would find that ironic because she is a sexy star, she thinks otherwise.
"I grew up in a religious family. More than anything else, God’s gift to me is wisdom which I always use. Hindi naman ako naghuhubad ng basta-basta. As long as hindi ako nagpapariwara o nakakasakit ng tao, then I’m doing my job well," Ella said.
When asked if she feels that her breasts are her only solid asset as a sexy star, she replied, "If I were flat–chested, do you think I would be appealing? For me, sex appeal is important and I think my breasts made me a shoo-in as a VIVA Hot Babe."
There are seven latest members of VIVA Hot Babes. Outside the VIVA Hot Babes circle, there are more sexy stars sprouting like weeds. Then there’s the probability that what the Hot Babes have done, may be duplicated or even surpassed by non-Hot Babes sirens. But even if sexy stars are redundant with regards to their baring techniques or skills, Ella is not afraid to go head–on with the competition. She has already prepared herself mentally that a showbiz career is very competitive .
"What challenges and excites me about showbiz is discovering within me what I can do. I know I need to do more and I’m not afraid of the competition because maganda ang aura ng Hot Babes. Masaya kami but it doesn’t necessarily mean na mas matalinong batch kami as reported. Maybe unique kami kasi iba-iba ang itsura namin at talents," she remarked.
So far, Ella V, despite already a head-turner because of her bodacious figure and popularity, is not yet feeling like a celebrity. She still sees what she does as a normal job likened to any other jobs. All she is set to do is accomplish all her work in a very professional manner and really put more than 100 percent effort in her career.
She is very keen on developing more her acting and singing talents. And if given the chance, she would like to explore her knack for comedy. Being a comedian is something she is comfortable with especially in all the TV projects she had. A deadringer for Rufa Mae Quinto at times, she doesn’t mind if her career would also take the same path Rufa’s had gone through.
"I’m like Charlie Chaplin. I’m funny yet very serious in real life," quipped Ella.
As a VIVA Hot Babe, Ella is on a weight lost regimen. She is not a gym rat but she losses weight through various sports which she enjoys like badminton. She would also rather dance her fat away than do weight training at the moment.
"I need to lose weight kasi mukha raw akong Haponesang mataba. Kung minsan parang gusto ko ng magpa-liposuction," she laughed. "But one thing that I make sure I always do everyday are my exercises for my abs! And I don’t eat much carbs anymore. I’m on a protein diet!"
At the moment, Ella V has already her share of intrigues, something she tries not to mind though how offending they may sound.
"I have a good heart," she said. "It is okay if they criticize me because I don’t pride myself as a perfect actress. I don’t count my mistakes but rather I count how many times I get up from those mistakes. And mas makikilala ako kapag kinausap ako nang harapan ng tao."
Determined and passionate about showbiz, Ella V is one VIVA Hot Babe definitely ON THE RISE!
