The Pasig River Heritage Marathon wraps up with a sports and fair expo on Feb. 28 and 29, at its final destination in Fort Bonifacio.
Called the Pasig River Heritage Marathon Family, Sports and Recreation Expo, the family shopping and amusement center will be held at the NBC Tent and will feature sports apparel, sports equipment and accessories by Nike, Converse, Avia, Spider eyewear and Slazernger-Dunlop, among others, at discounted prices. Also on offer will be relaxation and massage center courtesy of BioEssence, body pampering products, a henna tattoo booth, and a ceramics-making booth. Boatmaker J Sophil will showcase his fiberglass boats during an exhibit. For adventure seekers, a rock climbing facility will present fun challenges while giant inflatables will keep kids entertained. Highlight of the event is an exhibit put up by the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) on the progress of work done on the river. The 42-K race organized by the Clean & Green Foundation, Inc. as an advocacy program to support the PRRC’s sustained rehab of the river, kicks off from Fort Santiago in the early dawn of Feb. 29 to Fort Bonifacio, crossing 11 of 13 bridges that span the body of water. Interested exhibitors may call Themes & Motifs, The Special Events Co. at 731-9783 and 4100032. Admission is free.
