Chances better if Ping gives way to FPJ — Nene
Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) senatorial bet Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel on Monday said that the chances to topple the ruling administration will be better assured if independent candidate Panfilo “Ping” Lacson gives way to KNP standard bearer Fernando Poe Jr.
“If Lacson will give way, then there is a chance for re-unification to proceed, “ Pimentel declared in a press briefing at the Sulo Hotel in Quezon City.
According to Pimentel, “practical considerations” dictate that Lacson should give in and accept a vice-presidential position since Poe already has a full slate and is a consistent toprater in nearly all the surveys.
If there’s anyone who should give way, it should be him (Lacson),” he said. (Anna Regidor & Ed Mahilum)
