At least 65 individuals were rescued from the streets of Pasay in the continuing program of Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee” B. The 65 individuals rescued were taken to the Reception and Action center (RAC) located at the second floor of the Pasay Public Market and were interviewed for profiling and processing. Twenty-nine of those rescued were Badjao mendicants frequently seen begging along Pasay Taft Rotonda using babies and children to generate alms from public commuters and motorists. There were also three younger children who were taken to the Ahon Bata Center.
