SEMINARS ON EFFECTIVE CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

   

Cutting-edge corporate communications that really deliver results can now be achieved through a series of seminar-workshops that will be conducted by the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC) on June and July.


 Five most requested seminar-workshops are 'being offered by AIJC through its successful short-term Professional Development Program (PDP) Courses. These seminar-workshops and their schedules are as follows.  Project Proposal Writing (June 10-11 ); On-Line Course Development (June 17-18); News and Feature Writing (June 24-25); Effective Technical Writing (July 8-9); and Effective Media Relations (July 22-23).  It will be held at Unit 802 Annapolis Wilshire Plaza., 11 Annapolis St., Greenhills San Juan, Metro Manila.  


 The seminar-workshop on Project Proposal Writing will discuss components, elements and style of project proposals as required by funding agencies. It will also touch on the process of submitting project proposals to multilateral and bilateral agencies. 

 News and Feature Writing will include Industrial Journalism reflective of company vision, mission and goals; setting corporate editorial policies and programs; editorial (publication) planning; review of grammar; story ideas for company publications; writing formula and style; trends in company publication writing; the emergence of electronic publications; and on-line journalism for company publication. 


 Effective Technical Writing will tackle the different forms of technical and business writing - reports, policy briefs, manuals, abstracts, digests, and executive summaries; methods of idea or message development and organization; trends in writing, lay-outing (packaging), and presentation. It will also include techniques of popularizing technical reports, and the impact of computers in technical writing and packaging. 


 Effective Media Relations will touch on linkages with media, understanding its culture, strategies in effective relations with media organizations, handling negative publicity, media ethics, do's and don'ts in media relations and media planning. 


 The Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication is the regional training center of Journalism in Asia.
