Tanduay’s 150th anniversary live on GMA-7

To celebrate its 150th year anniversary, Tanduay Distillers will be staging a Grand Presentation live on “SOP” over GMA-7, tomorrow, June 13.

Theme of the anniversary is “Celebrating the Filipino Spirit” to uphold inherent Filipino traits which have made us what we are today, such as the spirit of honor and tradition, our spirit of bravery, resiliency and dedication, our spirit of enterprise and observance of time-honored values.

“SOP” host Ogie Alcasid is  at the helm for the celebration involving a live interaction with PBL Commissioner Chino Trinidad, Tanduay’s 150th year spokesperson.

Performers will include popular showbiz personalities like Assunta de Rossi, Patricia Javier, Joyce Jimenez, Alicia Meyer, and a host of well-known dancers. Three generations of actors/singers, Eddie Mesa, Mark Gil and Gabby Eigenmann will render all-time favorite songs to dramatize Tanduay’s staying power through the ages.

Major highlight of the event is a message from  Dr. Lucio C. Tan, leading Taipan of the Philippine Industry and chairman of Tanduay Distillers. In one of his rare TV appearances, El Kapitan, as he is fondly called, will thank the mass-consuming public for their unending patronage of Tanduay products and  commit to reciprocate their support with socio-economic projects that will improve the quality of life of the Filipinos.

The “SOP” TV activity is just one of the major events conducted to commemorate Tanduay’s anniversary. Last May 29, Tanduay honored over 700 top dealers nationwide with a “Grand Dealers’ Night” in Century Park Hotel–Manila. Tanduay also participated as major sponsor in the Tour Pilipinas Cycling Event last April 2004.
