506 hurdle dentist licensure examination

   

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 506 out of 1,508 passed the Dentist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Dentistry in Manila last month.

The Board of Dentistry is composed of Dr. Antonio Baldemor, chairman; Dr. E. Blanche Castillo Barbers, Dr. Maria Teresa Amador, and Dr. Maria Liza C. Centeno, members.

The oathtaking of successful examinees will be held before the board on July 22 at 1 p.m. at the Manila Hotel. Registration for membership in the Philippine Dental Association will start on June 21.

The top performing schools in the May 2004 Dentist Licensure Examination classified as follows are:

A. With 100 or more examinees – No school qualified.

B. With 26-99 examinees

University of the East-Manila, 62 of 78, 79.00%.

C. With 5-25 examinees

University of the PhilippinesManila, 16 of 16, 100.00%; Our Lady of Fatima College-Valenzuela, 6 of 7, 86.00%; Cebu Doctors College, 7 of 9, 78.00%; University of Baguio, 11 of 15, 73.00%.

The successful examinees who garnered the 20 highest places are the following:

Angelica Marie Ignacio Ama, 82.96; Maria Karla Toledo Faustino, 82.00; Sara Isabel Ramos Ysaac, 81.93; May Ann Miranda Ecabeza, 81.63; Michelle Anne Dawa Rivera, 81.59; Cristina Cordero Bagamano, 81.11; Maria Ahleen Bejosano de Leon, 81.09; Arlene Cecilia Arevalo Alfaro, 81.02; Desiree May Nicolas Diaz, 80.98; Virgilio Jr. Lingan Malenab, 80.91; Jennifer Abag Espina, 80.84; Josephine Bernadette Gabrillo Carpio, 80.75; Celeste Pozas Calle, 80.71; Bernadette Valera Nepomuceno, 80.47; Carmela Alcaraz Marcos, 80.41; Maria Myra Miceli Linsangan Clemente and Myrodelyn Carullo Sibulo, 80.34; Sarah Laurina Santos and Jackson Chan Sy, 80.23; Emiliana Ocampo Galang, 80.19; Romina Carino Sengco, 80.18; Rhovee Joy Marredo Santos, 80.16.
