Top Driver Challenge takes exciting last leg

The exciting 2004 C! Top Driver Challenge winds up this weekend, June 12 and 13, at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario. This is where future local motor sports stars battle for the privilege of racing in the 2004 Ford Lynx Cup series.

Six racer wannabes, including two young ladies, have advanced through earlier challenges held in Manila and Cebu to reach the final stage of the Top Driver competition.

Mark Borja, Mark Romualdez, Jules Arambulo, Jheromee Villar, Michael Palmiery showed innate track driving skills at the Speedzone at the Fort to qualify for the final test of their aptitude and skills for motorsports. Joining the five is Randy Paray who emerged as the top driver in similar challenges held in Cebu City.

Over the two-day challenge at the Batangas Racing Circuit, the six Top Driver challengers will undergo advance training on circuit car racing using TRS-prepared Ford Lynx racecars.

After the lessons from professional race instructors of the Tuason Racing School, they will undergo timed lap time sessions on the track.

TRS instructors will evaluate the challengers for speed, consistency, technique and attitude. This year’s C! Top Driver will be chosen based on the results of the evaluation and will earn the right to race for free in this year’s Ford Lynx Cup Novice

The race is sponsored by Ford, Addict Mobile, Standard Insurance, Goodyear, Petron, Octane Racewear, Ambi Pur, Adidas, Red Horse, Oakley, Casio G-Shock, K&N Filters, H&R Springs, Options Unlimited, Brother’s Burger, C! Magazine, Racegear Pitstop, Philippine Star, trapik.com, and motorista.com.ph.
