INTEL GIVES STUDENTS AN IT BOOST

Intel Microelectronics Philippines today announced a new PC purchasing program that makes owning one of today's hottest desktop and notebook PCs more affordable for students.

From June 1 to 15, students from the Ateneo de Manila University can purchase either a desktop PC powered by the Intel Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading technology, or a notebook PC with Intel Centrino TM mobile technology through a six-month installment plan at zero percent interest using their Citibank credit cards. Through this promotion, students will get a powerful learning tool and free giveaways ranging from PC peripherals and windbreakers to software and other premium items.

The Intel Pentium 4 processor with Hyper-Threading technology allows the computer's operating system to "see" and work with two processors, instead of one. This means students can run multiple applications and programs on their desktops, maximizing their study time and resources. For students on the go, Intel's Centrino TM mobile technology enables quick and easy access to the Internet through wireless hotspots.  Intel, the world's largest chip maker, is also a leading manufacturer of computer, networking and communication products.
