Task force thwarts smuggling of 53 used cars from S. Korea

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (PNA) — Authorities foiled Wednesday an attempt to sneak into the country 53 used cars from South Korea when a local antismuggling task force held nine container vans at the Makar Port here.

TABUK, Kalinga — An abduction which took place in broad daylight and in full view of many people on the national highway in barangay Bulanao here last June 5 ended in a funeral parlor in Echague, Isabela where the bodies of the victims were found by their kin last June 9.

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan (PNA) — The Department of Health (DoH) regional office is set to conduct water sampling here to validate its initial findings that the outbreak of acute gastroenteritis here from May 31 to June 8 was caused by contaminated water.
