Two livelihood seminars will be held this Saturday, July 17, at the AANI seminar center at the FTI Complex in Taguig, Metro Manila.
In the morning, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, Bobby Inocencio will conduct a seminar on raising Sasso chickens while Jojo Baldia will conduct a seminar on aquarium fish culture in the afternoon.
Raising Sasso chickens can be a profitable project which can be started even on a small scale. The Sasso chicken is a French breed that can be raised as a free-range fowl. It is fast growing and is claimed to have similar flavor as the native chicken.
Inocencio will teach attendees how to start their chicken project, including care of the chicks (brooding), feeding, housing, and other aspects of the business.
AQUARIUM FISH. Raising aquarium fish as a hobby as well as a business is another possible venture that can be undertaken even in the backyard in urban areas.
Baldia will discuss the prospects of aquarium fish production, the recommended breeds for beginners as well as the choice species for commercial production. Aquarium fish breeding can be undertaken with a modest capital as long as the proponent has the interest and the initiative to learn about the fine points of culturing and breeding aquarium fishes.
Those interested to attend may contact tel. 522-0873 or 839-1772 for more information. Meanwhile, on July 24, Bert Clemeña will conduct a seminar on culinary herbs in the morning while Dr. Emilio Cruz will conduct a seminar on goat raising in the afternoon.
