3M Pizza Pie is the first commercialized Pinoy Pizza in the country.
It has been in operations since 1969 and to many is seen not only as a business house but an institution. It currently operates over 50 company/dealership outlets spreading from Aparri, Cagayan to Virac, Catanduanes.

With over 30 years of experience in the fast food business, 3M Pizza Pie has made millions of Filipino pizza lovers happy with its crispy thin crust and sweet home-style sauce, a barrage of homegrown ham-squares, and cheddar cheese.

With more and more pizza chains in the market today (not to mention, the tight competition,) 3M pizza pie plans to re-establish itself as one of the leading pizza companies in the Philippines by reinventing the brand and upgrading its image. "All systems and operations will be redesigned and company outlets will be renovated to pursue this vision," an official statement from the the 3M headoffice in Quezon City, states.

NOSTALGIA

3M was founded by Merlie B. Hemedes, when she came back to the Philippines from the U.S. and wanted to introduce pizza in the country in an accessible mode. Having been a regular pizza lover in New York, she reinvented her pizza dishes by catering to the sweet taste of Filipinos with a unique sauce and thin crispy crust, topped with ham instead of pepperoni to make it very affordable for the Filipino masses. In her own preference, she used cheddar cheese instead of mutzarella.

As its humble beginning, the first outlet was a small kiosk located outside their toy-shop business at the Araneta arcade in Quezon City and became an instant success story since it was the first time many Filipinos have ever tasted pizza.

In 1971 her sisters Minerva B. Miller and Milagros B. Villar joined her and founded M3 (Cube) Enterprises, Inc. A few years later another sister, Leandra B. Pascual joined the company and helped in management.

By 1996 M3 (Cube) was dissolved when Milagros decided to leave the company and agreed to divide all outlets among four. The outlets of the three sisters who stayed together have reincorporated under the name Supremo’s Food Corporation and currently operates over 50 company and dealership outlets.

With the new president (who is by the way, a bachelor,) the greatest challenge for 3M is to reestablish what Pinoy Pizza truly is.

In a convictive statement, 3M president Joseph Pascual said "We will re-establish our brand and be one of the leading pizza companies in the Philippines because of our unique history and are delicious "pinoy style" pizzas," he said.

"We will be highly motivated; multi skilled, pizza-loving individuals that are friendly and seek a wonderful pinoy experience from our customers who we realize are the backbone of our organization," he followed.

More over, with Pascual’s spirit, 3M pizza’s first wave success shouldn’t only be credited to the first generation-founders of the company; because for him the big is yet to come.
