‘Power toothbrush’ meets oral care needs

A new generation of power toothbrushes, much like the latest cell phones, has invaded the market to help maintain healthy oral care. For those not satisfied with their manual toothbrush, and feel like not all areas of their teeth are thoroughly cleaned, Oral-B encourages an upgrade to a power toothbrush designed to meet oral care needs.

The Oral-B Cross Action Power is Gillette’s first product introduction in the entry-level battery toothbrush segment, the fastest growing sector in the physical oral care market. Cross Action Power is the only toothbrush to combine the CrissCross bristle technology of CrossAction, Oral-B’s top selling manual toothbrush, with the advanced cleaning motion and performance of an Oral-B rotating PowerHead. This makes the product the most technologically advanced battery toothbrush available for under R400.

This toothbrush brand offers exceptional features and performance benefits. According to an independent study by Cochrane Collaboration, an international, non-profit health research group, rotation-oscillation toothbrushes, like the Oral-B toothbrushes, reduce plaque and gingivitis by between seven percent and 17 percent more than manual brushes.

The new CrossAction Power also delivers more cleaning action in every stroke to provide an overall feeling of clean that goes beyond a manual toothbrush. The CrissCross bristles reach deep between the teeth and along the gum line to lift and sweep away plaque. The Powerhead rotates at 7,200 oscillations/minute to effectively surround teeth, loosen and whisk way plaque from surfaces and hard-to-reach back teeth. It is clinically proven to reduce gingivitis in just four weeks.

The new Oral-B Cross Action Power is available at selected retail stores.
