Hot Looks, Hot Bytes For the Big Boys

Boys will be boys. No matter how they’ve grown big—in age and in appearance, they would still be those mischievous kids who love to play naughty tricks, throw not-so-funny jokes and antics, watch robot-oons all day, and boast about anything especially if it’s a new toy with which they develop some kind of special affinity. And (jealous) girls, as always, wouldn’t understand that kind of bond they share with their “toys”.

JFK found three young, cute, big boys who shared with us some of their childhood stories and their recent favorite “toy”.

The Techie Sports Jock

Just when you thought that some uptown guys are just a bunch of egocentric dudes, think again. When you see and talk to 24-year-old commercial and ramp model Eric Akhnaton Eleazar personally, you’ll believe otherwise.

He can attract anyone with his sweetest smile and his prince charming looks. Even his name, according to him, signifies royalty. FYI, Akhnaton is derived from an Egyptian Pharaoh—this Eric found out from a research he made last year.

This business management graduate is super down-to-earth. He mingles with anyone, and enjoys a conversation on about anything under the sun.

Eric, noted for his TV ads like Stress Tabs and KFC, may also get serious sometimes.

“When I’m quiet, I’m really quiet, so don’t bother me. It means, I’m not in the mood to talk to anyone.  Pero if I’m in a mood to be makulit, I’m super kulit talaga,” says the OC (obsessive-compulsive) Eric.

A kid at heart, he’s also fascinated with a lot of things. That’s why he keeps himself updated by surfing the net and downloading info that increases his knowledge on things that interest him a lot… like about music, movies, history, atbp.

And when it comes to the love of his life…

“I can act natural in front of the girl that I like.  I would show her that I’m really interested in her. I am a loyal person. I stick to one.”

The Party Freak

At a younger age, Brit-Fil Logan Goodchild fancied on having a 9-5 job to make lots and lots of money and buy all the gadgets he wanted. With the two jobs he had as a financial officer and retail officer, he managed to help himself to get through college and take up an IT course in Sydney.

Born and raised in Australia, Logan often visits the Philippines to break the monotony of his Aussie life (read: house-work-school-work-house routine).

“Life in Australia is boring, especially to a single guy like me. You go to Australia to raise a family, not to have fun!” he told us.

Last May was a turning point in his life, changing all his views and perspectives of the world. A modeling career which landed unexpectedly on his lap was a blessing he would be forever thankful. Though being a professional model was far out from what he really wanted to be, Logan plunged head onto it, believing that he could make a life out of it. Despite the fact that it would mean living totally on his own and away from his family, his modeling debut proved to be one heck of a fun job.

“I love it here. People are so nice and easy to get along with,” says Logan.

And by the looks of it, Logan is here to stay. And why not? He enjoys gimmick nights in Greenbelt to the max, commuting his way around, and eating fishballs on the street. This is his way to save for his dream iPod, Mac PC and laptop, flat TV, PS2 and a Kenwood stereo system.

The Campus Swooner

Small but very terrible— words to describe 18-year-old Med Tech Freshman Gerard Regencia from Centro Escolar University.  He may be shy and skinny, but around the campus, he is a total heartthrob.

But unlike some “aggressive” young people of today, Gerard is taking life one step at a time.

“I can go with the flow.  But still, I’d remain focused on reaching my dreams,” Gerard says, who’s trying to convince us that he can also be a go-getter when it comes to his ambitions.

Although, he wasn’t able to pursue his dreams of becoming a pilot and a lawyer, his main concern now is to finish school, get a stable job, or maybe fly to a foreign land, and help his family.

Young as he is, Gerard doesn’t mind falling in love. In this techie era, he also doesn’t mind expressing love via

text messages. But if given a chance, he’d rather go for the traditional way of writing mushy letters. After all, love, for sweet Gerard, is a license to get cheesy.
