Good times with Marc Nelson

   

Model, host, fitness enthusiast and now celebrity endorser of American watch brand Timex, Marc Nelson has recently toured the Cebu plant of Timex with fellow endorsers Claudine Baretto and Piolo Pascual.

During their Cebu plant tour, he tried his luck at assembling an actual watch.

“We never knew a watch had this many small parts in it!’ he said. “We’ll never look at a watch in the same way again... it’s both an art piece and a scientific breakthrough.”

Their tour was part of Timex’ celebration of their 150 years of producing world-class watches for the international market.

The Cebu plant is highly lauded by Timex United States for its production capabilities (the Cebu factory can manufacure one watch every second —substantially answering the international demand for Timex worldwide).

In the Philippine, Timex employs more than 3,000 Filipinos for various positions in the plant, contributing greatly to the economy.

Timex officials from the Timex USA, as well as distributors and guests from different parts of Europe and Asia were there to celebrate the company’s anniversary.

These guests were so amazed at the success of the Timex celebrity campaign here in the Philippines that they want to adapt it in their respective countries.

Ayala Center Cebu organized some activities with Timex and Marc. Watches were given away as prizes for various contests while a few lucky ladies got to play with Marc in the “Stripping Marc” game segment. Claudine and Piolo sang for their fans.

The eventful day had Timex ticking in the hearts of the three celebrity endorsers.

Timex started as the Waterbury Clock Company which made clocks for American homes. In 2003, the company reached sales of one billion watches.

Continuous innovations and its dedication to create quality watches has kept Timex at the forefront of the industry, despite fallbacks along the way.

Today, Timex not only continues to innovate, but further strives to fulfill its commitment of “Making More Out of Time.”
