All is set for the holding of the country’s biggest and ASEAN’s oldest culinary event competition, “Chefs on Parade 2004” (COP) on Oct. 7-9 at the Clamshells 1 and 2, Intramuros, Manila.


Government agencies and the tourism private sector will convene tomorrow at the Department of Tourism office in Manila to formulate strategies that will ease the entry of Chinese tourists in the country and boost tourist arrivals from China, the Philippines’ foremost shorthaul market.


Overwhelmed by the aggressive participation of the Philippines at the recent 10th Leisure Otdyktt Fair in Moscow, the Russian government gave the Department of Tourism (DoT) an award of recognition for its marketing and promotions efforts in Russia.
