A spokesperson for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has said recently that there should be a "media gag" in interviewing terrorists and rebels on television and radio. He said that interviewing them is considered as "seditious" and media practitioners should be given "sanctions". But most media people have cried "foul" on this statement.

Efforts under way to free other foreign hostages in Iraq
BAGHDAD (AFP) — Iraqi captors have indefinitely postponed their threatened execution of a Filipino hostage as efforts were under way to free other foreigners held in the violence-torn country.
