A comprehensive road safety program designed to educate motorists and future drivers was launched last Tuesday by Ford Philippines – the Responsibility in Driver Education (RIDE). RIDE is the company’s maiden project which will be supported with every purchase of a Ford and Mazda vehicle.


At the height of demonstrations and protests on the toll fee increases on the 84-kilometer North Luzon Expressway, the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) remains unfazed, and is now focusing its efforts on preparations for the big increase of vehicles that will pass through the highly-modernized 84-kilometer highway this coming Holy Week.


The summer season will be officially opened with the culmination of the Lenten Season next week. Families will be trooping once again to the provinces and other destination to take advantage of the long holiday.


Manila’s gridlocked streets this summer subject vehicles to tremendous heat, especially the engine. Summer is that time when scores of motorists are stuck on the shoulder (or worse, right in the middle of the road) with steam coming out of the hood. The culprit? An overheated engine.
