Kasalang Filipino 2005 formally opened last February 19-21 in the country’s floral capital, Baguio City.

In time for the famous Panagbenga season, the bridal fair held in Baguio Convention Center showcased the city’s finest wedding blooms – from the elegant wedding banquet setup of Camp John Hay’s Le Chef to the floral fashion show of the Floral Artists of Baguio, Inc. (FABI). FABI members who participated in the floral fashion show are the following: Lyndon Remolar, Raul Buendia, Danny Marquez, Jeffrey Adag, Mon Manalo, Jomel Reynoso, Cristy Picpican, Jessica Mariano, and Lorraine Maningo. Show is choreographed by Melchor Moga.

Fair goers on the first night were also treated with a musical concert by the City’s top musical artists - The Baguio Strings Ensemble, 6 Days to Friday, Mabel, Las Cuerdas, On Call, and Isiand.

The second night showcased the promising talents of Baguio’s wedding designers.

Kasalang Filipino sa Tarlac

Tarlakeños warmly welcomed the first-ever bridal fair in their city, Kasalang Filipino sa Tarlac, last February 25 in La Maja Rica Hotel.

The 2nd leg of the 10-city bridal road show, Kasalang Filipino sa Tarlac showcased the hidden talents of Tarlac’s wedding suppliers. Immediately following the opening of the fair was a Filipiniana dance number by Tarlac State University’s performance arts group. The event’s highlight is a bridal fashion presentation by 2 local designers, Paul Diamsay and Jhay Halili, as well as a sumptuous dinner by Café Maja Rica.

The 2nd and 3rd day offered various talks and demonstrations – cooking, flower arrangement, hair & makeup, cake making and wedding planning.
