‘Tea With Mussolini’ a 1980s movie starring British actresses Judy Dench, Maggie Smith and Joan Plowright with American pop icon Cher thrown in for color so inspired me that my children and I passed through the town of San Gemignano in Italy around which the comedy drama centered. These feisty ladies had decided to save the famous towers of San Gemignano from Mussolini’s canons during World War II.
