Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 was selected by InfoWorld magazine as a Technology of the Year Award winner in the Enterprise Applications and Integration category. InfoWorld’s annual awards recognize technologies that promise to make the greatest impact on enterprise information technology strategies and products that have fundamentally altered the IT landscape.
Part of Windows Server System, BizTalk Server 2004 helps customers automate and manage complex business processes within and across organizational boundaries, connecting applications, trading partners, employes and legacy systems.

Since the initial release of BizTalk Server, the product team has focused on feedback from Microsoft customers as well as customers of competing technologies to drive enhancements. Enterprise integration solutions that automate business processes and involve customers, employes and partners need to be easy to use and monitor. BizTalk Server’s orchestration engine and rules engine facilitate these actions in simple and economical ways for IT workers.
