Trans Sport Show 2005, now on its 14th year of successfully staging the biggest motoring event in the country, will have several "milestone classic cars" entered in the exciting Open Class Competition. The show kicks off on April 20 until April 24 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall B, Ortigas Center, EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
Sophie delos Santos, president & CEO of TradeShow International, Inc. (TSI), organizer of Trans Sport Show and the equally popular Sport Truck & Custom Car Show, said: "we have always been overwhelmed by the number of cars being entered every year and as much as possible, we try to balance the number of entries per category, from vintage to classic to contemporary automobiles."
Notable entries for this year are: the 1967 Mercedes Benz 300 Adenauer of Alexander Wongchuking; 1968 Corvette Stingray of American muscle car collector Tony Feliciano; 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible of Vidal Ledda; 1966 Pontiac GTO of Xtreme Autocenter and the 1971 BMW 3.0CS of Mel Felix.
This year will also have Porsche and Audi as the featured automobile makers during the five-day event. A special display of both marquee’s most sought-after models will be set-up by local car clubs dedicated to the Porsche and Audi cars.
The number of corporate exhibitors has also increased compared to last year. Some of the new products that will be launched during the show are: Ambi Pur, which will come out with its new air diffuser, scent bottle and external packaging. Halden Galway will present the Microtex Ultimate Cleaning Cloth made from ultra fine threads called microfibers, a special blend of polyester and nylon that has unparalleled absorbing, cleaning, dusting, buffing and polishing qualities. Tyremart will present the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 high performance tires, a new generation tire compatible with superior sports performance and excellent ride for all sports driving enthusiasts. Maxx Energie Ventures will showcase the Rocket Heavy Duty Automotive Battery; PIE Auxillary Audio Switches and the Car Vio Mobile Entertainment System with DVD, VCD, CD, MP3 and JPEG features. Total (Philippines) Corp. will showcase their latest high performance engine oil, the Total Quartz and the Elf Excellium.
