THE RACE Motorsports Club runs the third of its 15-leg Slalom Grand Prix Series for the first time Pricesmart Aseana in Baclaran today. The event, open to Newbies, ladies, race drivers and all slalom enthusiasts, will feature a clinic by pros who will teach participants the secrets in high speed cornering, braking and car control maneuvers plus techniques of doing a perfect 180 and 360 degree turns. Free slalom driving clinics and discounts for first timers and newbies from 9 to 10 a.m.
Expected to participate in the slalom are the 2005 RACE Motorsports Club Slalom Series champions headed by Daryl Flores of St-5 Racing Team Cavite, Dr. Peewee Mendiola and Noel Rivera of Big Chill Racing Team, Danny Santiago of Shago Racing Team and David Feliciano and Jay Navarro of DMF Racing Team Katipunan, Uly Maningding and Douglas Maningding of Explorer Motorworks Racing Team, Ernie Moreno and Diday Ramirez of AHOC Racing Team.
Also expected to join are the drivers from the Cabanatuan Auto Club headed by Mico Briones plus the different clubs of Metro Manila and Nationwide.
Registration for the event, sponsored by Federal Tyres, Shell Helix Motor Oils, Fuji Film, Options Unlimited, Silverwind Magwheels, Bigshot Billiarrds, Forsc ink mobile system, Hotwheels, H and R Springs and Suspensions, stanbright body kits, pricesmart Aseana Baclaran and Wave 89.1, starts at 8 a.m. and the official runs will begin at 11 o’clock.
