St. Luke’s Medical Center has acquired the 3 Tesla MRI, the most powerful magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system in the country today.


I’m 45 years old but I still played basketball regularly until three months ago when I twisted my left knee. The knee became swollen and for a few days I experienced pain in the knee whenever I walked. I consulted an orthopedic surgeon and he ordered MRI examination of the knee. He told me that I tore a cartilage in my knee and that I need an operation. I’m afraid of surgery so I just rested my knee. Luckily, the pain and the swelling have already subsided.
