Federation of Filipino & Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc.

FOUNDED on March 29, 1954, as a non-stock and nonprofit association aimed at uniting into one organization the various trade, business, industrial, and financial institutions in the Chinese community, the Federation of Filipino & Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) is the largest ethnic-based organization or association of its kind in the Philippines today with a membership of close to 170 Filipino & Chinese Chambers of Commerce and trade business associations all over the country.

As an association, the FFCCCII continues to cooperate with the Philippine Government in the implementation of national policies. Additionally, the organization has fostered the development and growth of trade and industries in the Philippines. It has promoted the integration of local Chinese into the mainstream of the Philippine body politic and has been in the forefront of correcting trade abuses. The organization has contributed to the maintenance of higher standards in business dealings among its members and between its members and other business or trade organizations in the Philippines, irrespective of nationality or region. Many of the FFCCCII’s members have also conducted and maintained educational, charitable, and social welfare projects. Thus, the FFCCCII membership has cultivated, promoted, and enhanced friendly relations between Filipinos and Chinese in general and between Filipino and Chinese merchants in particular.

At the end of its 25th Biennial Conference yesterday, April 10, 2005 the FFCCCII held its regular elections, assuring yet another transition for an organization that has not only persistently contributed to the welfare of its members but, more importantly, has also played a significant role in solidifying the foundations for economic growth, social harmony, and political stability of our nation.

Congratulations to the newly elected Officers of FFCCCII. We wish them continuous success and express our confidence in their love for this country.

On this occasion, we commend the leadership of the FFCCCII outgoing President Robin C. Sy, for being a competent leader and being sober and capable in handling the important affairs of the Federation to the satisfaction of all concerned.
