As the so-called "series of transport strikes" has begun, the National Land Transportation Council (NLTC), an umbrella group of jeepney, bus, taxi, FX, and tricycle operators and drivers, are pressing for a repeal of the Oil Deregulation Law. Malacañang has called for "a dialogue with the strikers" to find best ways to go against "a problem that arises from external factors".
