LEGAZPI CITY – New People’s Army (NPA) burned yesterday a cellular communications facility in barangay Porog, Bulusan town, Sorsogon.
Col. Serafin Raymundo, spokesman of the Philippine Army’s 9th Infantry Division, said that at about 6 in the morning, some 10 members of the NPA attacked the Globe Telecom cellsite in the barangay, doused it with gasoline and set it on fire.
Raymundo said that the incident was the second attack by the NPA against civilian targets in the Bicol Region in the last two weeks. (Ed de Leon)
