It was fascinating watching the Catholic church’s wise old men wearing their red frocks and caps, chanting the names of the different saints, to guide and help them choose the next pope. Watching old rituals with its being performed gave me a kind of h-i-g-h.

In fact, with the way Guatemalan officials have been visiting Manila ever since Mellie took the position of consul ad honorem, one imagines that word must have gotten around about the lavish hospitality of the Ablazas... dear, dear! Guatemala, as one knows, is a rather poor country with problems similar to our own here.
