For its part, Datta said 2005 will a year of investment for SAP, "which will help drive growth and efficiency for our company."
"SAP will be opening up additional software development laboratories in UK and China with an additional 3,000 people," he reported. This is to enable the company to remain an innovator that tries out new technologies and to develop new solutions."
He said, "For 2005, the small- and medium-size businesses will be our significant focus. It has no clear market leader."
